Mount Washington is the highest peak in White Mountain range.
The summit could be reached by hiking, the private-owned Auto road or the Cog Railway.
Mount Washington is known as having "the world's worst weather". But on the day we drove up to the top via the auto road, the weather on the summit was clear and pleasant, with a very expansive view of the remote mountain ranges and plains.
The scenic Kancamagus highway passes through the White Mountain National forest. The fall foliage was reaching the peak. The splendor of the Autumn color was in full dispaly.
